Pengarang Naruto memang Jenius. Dia sangat cerdas dalam menyusun jalan cerita, sehingga banyak orang yang jadi ketagihan untuk membaca komik Naruto. Salah satu buktinya adalah adanya karakter Uchiha Madara yang sangat keren. Gambar Uchiha Madara pertama kali muncul pada saat pertarungan Naruto dan Sasuke di "End of Valley". Di air terjun tersebut diperlihatkan patung raksasa Hokage Pertama yang berhadapan dengan patung seseorang yang saat itu masih misterius. Belakangan diketahui bahwa patung itu adalah patungnya Uchiha Madara.
Uchiha Madara adalah salah seorang pendiri Konoha sekaligus pendiri clan Uchiha. Kabarnya dia mati dibunuh oleh Hokage Pertama di tempat yang sama dengan Naruta dan Sasuke Bertarung. Menurut analisis Jiraiya, Kyubi (Ekor sembilan) yang menyerang Konoha bukanlah datang secara kebetulan melainkan diperintahkan oleh seseorang. Menurut Jiraiya orang tersebut adalah Uchiha Madara. Madara adalah orang pertama yang bisa menggunakan Mangekyo Sharingan. Berdasarkan pengakuan Uchiha Itachy, Madara adalah pendiri Akatsuki.
